Community Care

Healthy people need healthy communities, so we have several innovative, community-based specialty support services and programs for at-risk children and young parents, family caregivers and underserved populations.

 

Services include:

  • Parenting SupportOffering home visitation programs for at-risk families with infants and small children and empowering them through healthcare and supportive services to overcome real and perceived obstacles.
  • Flu and Immunization Services — Partnering with the Douglas County Health Department, VNA has nurses throughout the community administering COVID-19 vaccinations. Our nurses also provide flu shots at our annual flu clinics.
  • Homeless Shelter Nursing ServicesDelivering personalized, expert care at every local homeless and domestic violence shelter in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro.
  • School Health ProgramsContracting with various public, private and parochial schools in the metro area to provide preventative and urgent care as part of our commitment to a healthier community.
