The Impact of Alternative Pain Therapies on the Opioid Crisis
Thursday, May 31, 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Urban Abbey, 1026 Jackson St., Omaha, NE
Purpose: This presentation will address the development of opioid use in American society, factors that have led to present-day crisis, and the emergence of alternative pain therapies (such as physical therapy) as effective options.

Laura Grothe, Pharmacist (Visiting Nurse Association)
Dan Miller, Physical Therapist/Clinic Director (Healing Motion Physical Therapy, Visiting Nurse Association)
Amanda Matthew, Hospice Clinical Director (Visiting Nurse Association)
Registration is required to attend. 1.5 contact hours are available for $5 to nurses and social workers or free to attend if not pursuing contact hours.
Continuing Education Contact Hours awarded by Iowa Western Community College, Iowa Board of Nursing Provider #6. Professional license number is required for contact hours.
