VNA Raises Money for Shelter Nursing Program Through Do Good Week

April 22, 2021 | VNA Staff | General

For more than three decades, Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) has been a leader in caring for individuals and families at local homeless and domestic violence shelters. This past week, as part of the annual Art & Soup fundraiser, VNA raised funds to provide men, women and children experiencing homelessness access to healthcare, social services and community resources to meet their needs.

“These funds will allow VNA to continue to be a source of hope and advocacy for those who need our help,” said James Summerfelt, VNA President and CEO. “As we kick off Do Good Week, we are asking for the public to step up and help us make an even bigger impact in our area shelters.”

Additional Art & Soup 2021 Soup Passports are available to purchase for $35/each. These passports are good for free samples of soups across Omaha, Neb. and Council Bluffs, Iowa. They will not only supplement VNA’s shelter nursing program but will also support local chefs and restaurants that have struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Soup Passports can be purchased at vnatoday.org/souppassport.
